The Killian lab is in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Delaware.
Our lab’s mission is to identify the mechanisms of adaptation and growth of musculoskeletal tissue and joints (e.g., tendon-bone attachments, hip joint) and leverage these mechanisms to improve orthopaedic healing and regeneration.
We use in vivo models and methods from molecular biology, genetics, biomechanical engineering, and imaging to identify how mechanical forces influence growth, development, and repair of musculoskeletal soft tissues.
